Diatomaceous Earth

Diatomaceous Earth is a natural product made from crushed sedimentary rock containing the fossilized remains of diatoms, microscopic fresh-water algae that were deposited in ancient lake beds. Diatomaceous Earth is approximately 85% silica. Farmers and gardeners have used Diatomaceous Earth for centuries as a natural insecticide and physical barrier to control common insect pests. Diatomaceous Earth does not harm earthworms or soil microorganisms.
